Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate album… Saturday, Apr 7 2018

As I’ve shared previously, one my passions at present is creating Mini books. This one I made with a friend using this purchased tutorial by Catherine Chapdelaine as a template and the gorgeous Graphic 45 ‘Time to Celebrate’ collection:

Each of the pages has flaps and/or pockets to open and large photo mats inside

Some closures have magnets

Others are small tags attached with a brad to allow them to twist:

There is a large slide out photo mat inside each page opening

The front cover has a dimensional image created by paper piecing and fussy cutting many flowers added using 3D tape

The original album was created using the Guilded Lily collection but I have another album in the works with that collection so decided to use the tutorial and adapt it to the Time To Celebrate papers. this is easy enough to do if you work out a double page of papers at a time to keep the colour balance of your designs. I’ve also kept this album fairy basic in it’s decoration to allow loads of room for photographs

Fairie Dust album… Saturday, Apr 7 2018

As you all know I love to create cards. And I am a bit of a paper hoarder. I have lots of papers in my stash, but it seems that the new Graphic 45 collections still call out to me. My most recent find is the Fairie Dust collection, I adore the pictures and colours, so very pretty.

Another passion of mine is creating Mini Albums, so when I found this album tutorial on Terry’s Scrapbooks blog I thought that I would give it a try.

I love Graphic 45!! They have such wonderful paper collections, the quality of the paper is fabulous and the designs and colours so vibrant and beautiful. Each collection comes with it’s own gorgeous papers, ephemera cards, chipboard, pockets and tags and stickers which is so helpful when designing as everything is there at your fingertips.

The page on the right has a concertina pocket perfect for adding those extra photos:

The ribbon ties are very simple and make a pretty closure:

The final page has a thicker gusset so the included waterfall insert has plenty of room, I do think I will reduce this 1/8” next time though as it seems a little too thick for my needs:

and the front cover which I’ve kept very simple:

The album was a lot of fun to create with a very simple tutorial to follow.

I will enter this album in the following challenges:
