Portrait of a Lady Mini Album… Sunday, Nov 18 2018

Our Challenge for you at Fussy and Fancy this week is Anything Goes. I’ve chosen to share my Mini Album using Graphic 45’s Portrait of a Lady collection:

Portrait of a lady A Goes

This post is a bit picture heavy but I wanted you to see all the wonderful papers and details. Let’s take a look through:

The album is based on a tutorial from Anne at Anne’s Paper Creations. The tutorial uses Graphic 45 Guilded Lily papers but is easily adjusted to other Graphic 45 collections. My first album using the tutorial was made using the Guilded Lily collection but I haven’t photographed it yet. The tutorial is very good and easy to follow. I would suggest that you watch each video through first as sometimes she adjusts her instructions throughout.

I made a few adjustments to the tutorial for this album using less fussy cutting and a few different flaps to suit my papers, but the main concept is the same

Each challenge we choose a Top 5 and GDT for a future challenge so join in the fun for a chance to join us in a future challenge.

Supplies:
Paper: Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady collection

Precious Memories, Baby Girl Album… Thursday, Jul 5 2018

This is the  Baby girl version of the album I created using Graphic 45 Precious Memories papers. I based the album on this album tutorial  on Terry’s Scrapbooks blog I have adjusted some of the measurements to suit my needs and changed some of the lift out flaps for a neater finish. This is what I came up with:

front cover

Each of the pages have flip outs or pockets with  a magnet or ribbon closure.

front page

The page on the right has a concertina pocket perfect for adding those extra photos:

The ribbon ties are very simple and make a pretty closure:

This is the left hand page open with some tags and room to slide in photos:

middle page open2

The right hand page has a flap that opens using a magnet for closure

middle page open

The final page has a thicker gusset so the included waterfall insert has plenty of room, I have reduced this 1/8” as I think it sits better in the album:

I love Graphic 45!! They have such wonderful paper collections, the quality of the paper is fabulous and the designs and colours so vibrant and beautiful. Each collection comes with it’s own gorgeous papers, ephemera cards, chipboard, pockets and tags and stickers which is so helpful when designing as everything is there at your fingertips.

Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate album… Saturday, Apr 7 2018

As I’ve shared previously, one my passions at present is creating Mini books. This one I made with a friend using this purchased tutorial by Catherine Chapdelaine as a template and the gorgeous Graphic 45 ‘Time to Celebrate’ collection:

time to celebrate front cover

Each of the pages has flaps and/or pockets to open and large photo mats inside

time to celebrate page 1

Some closures have magnets

time to celebrate page 1a

Others are small tags attached with a brad to allow them to twist:

time to celebrate page 2

And another:

And another:

time to celebrate page 4

There is a large slide out photo mat inside each page opening

time to celebrate open

The front cover has a dimensional image created by paper piecing and fussy cutting many flowers added using 3D tape

time to celebrate spine

The original album was created using the Guilded Lily collection but I have another album in the works with that collection so decided to use the tutorial and adapt it to the Time To Celebrate papers. this is easy enough to do if you work out a double page of papers at a time to keep the colour balance of your designs. I’ve also kept this album fairy basic in it’s decoration to allow loads of room for photographs

Supplies:
Paper: Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate collection
Cardstock: Bazzil Walnut Cream
Accessories: Spellbinders Scalloped Borders 2 Edge Die, seam Binding, Tag Punch, Brads, Flat Magnets
