Our Challenge for you at LHOSM this week is ‘Spots or Stripes’ I’ve been really enjoying building 3D projects lately so thought I would create a gift box for a friend who is off to France for 12 months. I’ve gone with a Paris theme and created a decorative gift box for some chocolates. I’ve included the Eiffel Tower in keeping with my Paris theme and some sweet Tilda’s from the Bon Voyage collection. There are lots of photos so you can see all the details.
This is what I came up with:
For a closer look:
And another:
The little bow at the back has a passport charm:
The gorgeous paper is from Fab Scraps called Travel Culture. The Eiffel Tower cutting file is available from the Silhouette store
The top of the box looks like this:
For a closer look:
And another:
My Tildas are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Copic Express Card and coloured with Copic Sketch Markers. The Copics used are as follows: skin: E11, E00, E000, R20 hair: E47, E44, E43, E42, E40 clothes: W5, W3, W1, W00, C5, C3, C1, C00, B99, B95, R39, R37
The sides are created from acetate and reinforced with wooden skewers to hold the weight of the lid. The base hides two boxes of chocolates that slide out like drawers
We are sponsored by the wonderful Live and Love Crafts who will offer an awesome prize to the lucky Challenge winner so pop on over to LHOSM and have a look at the fabulous creations from the rest of the DT and why not have a try at our ‘Spots or Stripes’ Challenge for a chance to win a terrific prize
