Criss Cross cards are one of my favourite folds to make, they are quite simple but very effective. I have a number of examples on my blog if you would like some inspiration.
You will need 2 pieces of cardstock 11 1/2” x 5 3/4”. Score them at 5 3/4” and fold. Cut at an angle to the fold as seen below
Cut a piece of DP 5 1/2” square and cut across the diagonal as seen above. attach the two base pieces together as seen below and add your DP to the front of each triangular section, cut a square of DP 5 5/8” to decorate the inside of the base
Cut an insert 5 1/2” square and a piece of DP 5 1/4” to decorate as seen above, Add handles to the insert and tape down the front of the card across the bottom edge
Decorate as desired ( I have added Nestabilities Fancy Tags 2 for the handles and cheery Lynn Nautical Wheeler Doily for the insert. The base is decorated with Magnolia Doohickey Lace Border edges
Add your image to the front with whatever frame you desire ( I’ve added another Cheery Lynn Nautical Wheeler Doily and some Classic Circles from Nestabilites and of course my Sweet Christmas Tilda from Magnolia) And voila, it’s finished!
I hope that you will have a try at my Criss Cross card I’m sure you will be pleased with the result
